I finally got a job!
After three months of what felt like endless job applications, hours in zoom interviews and writing tasks, I’ve been able to secure a job.
I was so fortunate to have the temporary nannying work over the last six weeks, which coincidently ended on the same day I was offered my new role.
I absolutely loved nannying and sometimes couldn’t believe I was being paid to play all day and learn French nursery rhymes, but with easing restrictions, it was time for my little friend to head back to daycare.

I’ll be swapping The Wiggles and bedtime stories for a big girl job at a digital agency as a content strategist and editor- fancy!
After spending everyday on LinkedIn and Seek, I was referred to this role from a former colleague of mine, who so kindly reached out and asked if I was interested (thank you, Belinda!) in a position at her husbands workplace.
After an interview and a set of writing tasks I managed to impress enough to get the role.
During the whole process, I wanted to be totally transparent as I know how hard and long the recruiting process is. I advised I was (still) planning on moving abroad to Paris at the end of the year and if they would take me on temporarily til then.
They came back and said they had other plans.
This is where it gets even better!
They asked if I would do the job from Paris- talk about dream come true!
Whilst Coronavirus has really screwed all my plans, during this lockdown period, I’ve applied and been accepted to do my Masters Degree in a field I’m incredibly passionate about plus get a job I can do from literally the other side of the world.
I’m so grateful I was able to get so much out of this time and am looking forward to this new time in my life before making the move hopefully at the end of October.
A big thank you to everyone who sent/tagged me in roles, wrote references and proof read my tasks.
I’ll be sure to keep you all posted after i start next Monday.
