Oh happy day!
This morning my mum sent me a gumtree ad she came across for a nannying job in the area looking for someone to start asap.
Throughout high school I did a lot of babysitting and in uni I worked at a primary school doing before and after school care so whilst it’s out of media, I’ve always loved working with kids.
I sent a text message expressing my interest and 15 minutes later I had a phone interview, followed by meeting the family, literally 10 minutes after that.
After being introduced to the family and my new little friend, it was pretty much a done deal. I heard the father chatting French to the little boy and from that point I knew it was meant to be.
I have been quite lazy with my French so hanging with a two-year old brushing up on my French is perfect.
If you know me, you know I love kids and you’ll usually find me hanging out with them over the adults.
Whether the job lasts a week or a couple of months, I’m feeling super excited to be back working and practising my French with someone who won’t laugh at my grammar!
