If You Haven’t Planned Your Easter Menu, I’ve Got Three Must-Have Dishes

With a bit of extra time up our sleeves these days, we can dedicate a bit more effort into our cooking, especially on the Easter long weekend.

This Good Friday, my (immediate) family and I made a seafood feast, thanks to three fail-safe recipes from my previous workplace, taste.com.au.

We sourced our seafood from Big Fish Seafood Company, a 45-year family run seafood business, selling the best seafood I’ve ever eaten, and that’s no exaggeration.

Adapting to the Covid-19 situation, the company, which usually runs out of the fish markets, is offering contactless delivery straight to your door.

If you’re after any seafood this weekend, or in the future, you really can’t go wrong with Big Fish Seafood Company.

Own a barbecue? You have to try this Barbecued whole snapper with lime and chilli. I’ve made this dish a handful of times, and it’s a hard-to-mess-up recipe that doesn’t won’t disappoint.

In the past, I’ve served with rice, but today I decided to make some homemade fries á la fish and chips.

With prices so affordable at the moment, it’s now cheaper than even to get your hands on some crabs.

This delicious and surprisingly easy Chilli Crab, takes 25 minutes from prep to cooking and uses fresh and indulgent ingredients.

And last, but in no way the least, is this flavoursome Salt & pepper squid. I’d never made this dish before and just searched for it via the taste website and found it as a top entry.

The addition of Chinese Five Spice is a game changer and adds a depth of flavour you wouldn’t expect.

Whilst we’re currently unable to celebrate with our loved ones, that doesn’t mean you still can’t enjoy a special meal at home.

Bon Appétit!
