flowers on friday: lavender

Maybe it’s because purple is my favourite colour, but I’ve always had a soft spot for Lavender.

The narrow stems and numerous purple flowers have been a sense of beauty and soothing fragrance across many cultures for centuries.

Synonymous with it’s healing properties, there’s no doubt it helps me unwind and relax. When I’m having trouble sleeping, a spritz of lavender mist on my pillow always does the trick.

I also have lavender hand cream in my handbag which I apply if feeling a little stressed during the day. Some may say it’s the moment I pause from my work and take a breather, but as soon as the cream hits my hands, I instantly feel a sense of calm. I recommend L’Occitane hand cream.
