The Giver Of Stars Review

The Giver of Stars is the latest work from one of my favourite authors, Jojo Moyes.

Writer of the Me Before You series, Moyes can really take a storyline off the page and consume your imagination with her characters.

This book is set in Kentucky during the 1940’s and sees a group of women band together to share knowledge through their travelling library.

With strong characters and an unforgiving perception of a woman’s expected role, the novel will leave you feeling relieved to be a woman in the 21st century.

I found the book a little hard to get into at first, but as a big fan of Moyes, I decided to push through and was glad to have done so.

As I do after I finish any book, I jumped onto Google to research if there were future books in the works, or even a movie. I learned Universal has bought the rights to bring the book to the big screen in the coming year or so.

If you’re after a historical fiction with strong female characters, this book is for you.

I rate this book 3.5/5 stars.

Happy reading!
