Two weeks ago my family lost our beautiful grandfather and I haven’t felt like writing since.

He had been sick for 10 months, battling an aggressive form of cancer, so when he took his last breath, it was quite a bitter-sweet experience.

I have been using this time to spend with family, to cry and to really just reflect on not only his life but life in general.

He now makes up one of the brightest stars in the sky along with those we’ve lost in the past.

“When he shall die,
Take him and cut him out in little stars,
And he will make the face of heaven so fine
That all the world will be in love with night
And pay no worship to the garish sun.”
― William Shakespeare,
Romeo and Juliet
