The Daisy’s symbolism is incredibly underrated in the flower world, often in the shadows of the Rose or Peony for those in search for a romantic bloom.

I have to admit that I didn’t actually know this until I researched it, BUT the daisies are actually two flowers combined into one and therefore symbolise true love- how romantic!

So next time you’re after flowers to show how much you love someone, be sure to include the daisy in the bunch!

See, the grass is full of stars,
Fallen in their brightness;
Hearts they have of shining gold,
Rays of shining whiteness.

Buttercups have honeyed hearts,
Bees they love the clover,
But I love the daisies’ dance
All the meadow over.

Blow, O blow, you happy winds,
Singing summer’s praises,
Up the field and down the field
A-dancing with the daisies.
